In a statement today, ASEAN Chamber of Commerce president Datuk Moehamad Izat Emir said under the MoU, they would establish ASEAN Traders Academy, aimed to help graduates and Bumiputera entrepreneurs under the chamber’s umbrella to progress their businesses further at international level.
Meanwhile, UiTM vice-chancellor Prof Emeritus Ir Dr Mohd Azraai Kassim said the cooperation could enhance entrepreneurship attributes in students or graduates.
“The collaboration will enable them to expand their businesses into ASEAN countries,” he said as quoted by the statement.
Under the MoU, both institutions will undertake among others, staff and graduates exchange programmes, symposiums, conferences, as well as information exchange and collaborations in other various areas.
ASEAN Chamber of Commerce is a non-governmental organisation which represents members from ASEAN countries and promotes international trade growth, in line with ASEAN Economy Comunity (AEC) Blueprint 2025.
